What is a PCC?

In each parish of the Church of England, the Parochial Church Council (PCC) is responsible for promoting the church’s mission in the parish, the maintenance of church buildings and land, and the financial affairs of the church. It is a legal entity, and its members are considered trustees of the church, with duties to manage the church’s assets responsibly. Clergy and current churchwardens are members of PCC along with others elected by the congregation at the annual church meeting.
