The Eco Church survey is a useful way to measure progress in caring for the environmentEco Church
Eco Church helps churches take practical action, step by step, to care for the environment. Filling in the survey is a simple but effective way for a church to assess progress. The survey relates to five areas of church life:

- worship and teaching
- buildings
- land
- community and global engagement
- lifestyle
The cumulative steps result in Bronze, Silver or Gold Eco Church awards. St. Peter’s achieved a Bronze Eco Church award in 2024, and is working to become a Silver Eco Church.
St. Peter’s is also aiming to try to become a carbon net-zero church by 2030, in line with the commitment of the Church of England; find out more about carbon net-zero here.
