Food Bank
St Peter’s holds a monthly Food Bank collectionFood Bank collection
On the first Sunday each month St. Peter’s acts as a collection point for donations to the local Food Bank. People are very generous and regularly give whatever they can in the way of non-perishable food items and toileteries. We deliver the donations to the Salvation Army in Keighley, where they are sorted and distributed to local people and families in crisis.
Suggested items are: UHT milk, tinned meals, pasta sauce, tuna, sardines, salmon, chick peas, kidney beans, micro noodles, pasta, rice, jam, peanut butter, spread, tinned potatoes, dry rice, packet mash, tinned fruit, rice pudding, custard, ham, corned beef, luncheon meat, nappies, baby wipes, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, deodorant (and empty Bags for Life or sturdy shopping bags to be used in distribution).
